First Edition Identifiers
This book was published in 1923. A.C. McClurg only made one printing of this book, so any book of this title with A.C. McClurg on the spine is a first edition. There were a total of 25,000 copies made. There are 8 interior illustrations by J. Allen St. John.
Photographs

Above is the first edition dust jacket. I would grade it in “Good” condition as there are lots of large chips and wear at folds.

Reprint Editions
Grosset & Dunlap Reprint Editions
From 1924 until 1967 Grosset & Dunlap reprinted this title in a number of variations as shown above. A few covers have very similar colors to the first edition, however "Grosset & Dunlap" will be printed on the spine and title page. Also, some of the reprint dust jackets use the same art work from the first edition dust jacket, however you again will find "Grosset & Dunlap" on the spine.
